What is the SilverCard Prepaid MasterCard® Card?
Your SilverCard is a prepaid MasterCard card, meaning you deposit
your cash or checks to your card account and then use your SilverCard
to access your cash whenever you want to make purchases or pay bills at
merchants that accept Debit MasterCard. You can also withdraw cash at
millions of ATMs worldwide.
When making a purchase, select "Credit" and sign the receipt provided by the merchant.
Yes. You will not be charged a fee when using your SilverCard for:
- Signature transactions
- Online card account management
- Online monthly statements
- Email card account alerts
- Text message card account alerts to your cell phone
- Calling into our automated voice response system
Your new SilverCard will arrive in the mail within 7 to 10 days
after you successfully pass identification verification*. SilverCards
are mailed through U.S. Mail, first class. If you do not receive your
SilverCard, please call customer service at 1-877-889-5106.
*Obtaining Your Card: The USA PATRIOT Act is a federal law that
requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record
information that identifies each person who opens a card account. What
this means for you: When you open a card account, we will ask for your
name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us
to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other
identifying documents.
You can make payments directly to your biller by phone.
Or, you can pay bills with the automated bill payment service called Click-n-PayTM. With Click-n-PayTM,
you can send electronic payments to thousands of billers, even if they
don't accept credit cards. If you want to pay a biller that isn't
listed in our database, we can send them a paper check on your behalf.
You can find out your balance and any activity on your SilverCard
by signing up for Account Alerts, which can be sent directly to your
mobile phone or email. You can even customize your alerts to tell you
what you want to know, such as your daily balance, bill payment
activity, payment authorizations and more.
You can also view your card account history 24/7 for FREE. Or, you
may call customer service at 1-877-889-5106. There may be a fee when
you speak to a live agent.
The easiest way to load your SilverCard is through direct deposit.
You can add cash to your card account regularly and automatically by
having your all or part of your paycheck deposited directly to your
SilverCard account for FREE! Direct Deposit instructions will be mailed
along with your SilverCard.
You can always load cash to your SilverCard instantly at over
100,000 retail locations including PreCash® retailers, Western Union®,
MoneyGram and PayXone® locations.
You can also wire funds to and from your card to your bank
account, or to the bank account of a friend or relative. Funds will be
available the same business day they are received.
